Para pekerja yang sangat mobile diantara Gen Y usia 18-29 dan Gen X usia 30-49 bebas untuk pergi ke mana pun daripada rekan-rekan generasi pendahulu mereka disebut baby boomer usia 50-65, bersedia melakukan perjalanan di seluruh dunia untuk pekerjaan yang tepat. Berdasarkan temuan Kelly Global Workforce Index, sebanyak 30 negara telah disurvei dengan memakai orang, termasuk Indonesia. Survei dari Oktober 2010 hingga Januari 2011, juga mengungkapkan sejumlah besar orang yang bekerja di "pengaturan non-konvensional, jam yang tidak biasa atau panjang, beberapa pekerjaan, tinggal jauh dari rumah atau bepergian juga. “Dalam banyak industri, ada banyak orang yang sekarang siap untuk bergerak di dalam negeri mereka sendiri atau bepergian ke luar negeri dalam mengejar pekerjaan,” kata Bernadette Themas, Country General Manager dari Kelly Services Indonesia. Sebanyak 60 persen dari Gen Y sudah siap untuk melakukan perjalanan ke luar negeri untuk pekerjaan yang tepat, diikuti oleh 40 persen dari Gen X dan 17 persen dari baby boomer. Pria juga lebih bersedia untuk bergerak daripada wanita. Di antara berbagai sektor industri, mereka yang bekerja di bidang teknik informatika dan pemerintah daerah 79 persen dan 75 persen yang paling siap untuk menggeser negara untuk bekerja.
